Why the clearance letter is pulled twice
A WorkSafeBC clearance letter is a statement about one day. Under s.258 of the Workers Compensation Act, if a contractor falls behind on their premiums, the party that hired them can be held liable for the arrears. So the date that matters is the day money moves — not the day they were onboarded. Every vendor network we could find checks once, at signup, and quotes that letter for a year.

What it looks like when something lapses
The status is not stored anywhere. It is recomputed from the documents every time the file is opened. This is the same contractor the morning after an insurance certificate expires, with nobody at Prontco doing anything.

None of this is privileged information, and you do not need us to do it. Four of the six points can be verified free, by anyone, in about ten minutes. If you hire trades directly, this table is the useful part of this page — take it.

What this file is not
It says their paperwork is real and current. It does not say the drywall will be straight. Nobody can promise you that on paper.
Every licence above links to the public registry it came from. Check any of them yourself — that is why the links are here rather than a logo.
There are no star ratings in this network and no testimonials on this page. A rating built out of a handful of jobs tells you less than a current clearance letter does.
It is true as of the date at the top and nothing else. Open it again tomorrow and it is recomputed, including the parts that would have gone stale.
